by David and Leigh Eddings
It was not destruction, but rather artistic sacrifice and an inkling of retribution.
The Eddings cemented my love of reading and sparked my desire to be a writer.
This was in the “before times” though.
Before knowing they had plead guilty to 11 counts of severe child abuse against their adopted children.
Often our heroes are monsters.
“The Redemption of Althalus” never hooked me and I let that one pass when it was published in 2000. Giving in to nostalgia, I took in a thrift store hardcover to sit with its brethren on my shelf. When the idea for this garb came together, it seemed a fitting use for it. It has plenty enough pages to keep refreshing this garb for quite some time!
